Corporate Bio

GAIDS specializes in senior health insurance plans, primarily Medicare Supplements and Long Term Care plans. We use 15 highly rated carriers to serve the needs of our clients. Among these carriers are John Hancock, Metropolitan Life, Mutual of Omaha and Genworth. Since our Agency has been in business, we have written over 250 million in premium, and never had an E & O claim or any complaints by the California Department of Insurance. We have seven full time, experienced employees (several of which are licensed agents) and we service over 350 agents and brokers.

General Agency Insurance Development Services originally began life as Radio Insurance Company. It was aptly named since they did a large amount of advertising on the radio. Once Mr. 'Ace' Weide, a well known manager in the healthcare industry, came on board to help further the company's goals; the name changed to Olympic-Swall Corporation. Once again, creatively named because, you guessed it, the company was located at Olympic and Swall Boulevards in Beverly Hills. When Don Weide, Ace Weide's son, took over the reins, he changed the company name again to its present name; General Agency Insurance Development Services.

You will always have a live person to help you. corporate headquaters GAIDS will never shift you to an electronic mail box or voice mail. (Calls received after business hours will be returned the next business day). We pay top commissions and can usually find a home for your "hard-to-place" prospects. We interface directly with chief underwriters to serve you!

Life at GAIDS

Business is a "tad" quieter now that Medicare's Dis- Enrollment Period (MADP) came to a close in February, 2012. The next general enrollment period for Medicare Advantage and/or Part D products is the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) which runs from October 15th through December 7th. If you think you are eligible for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP), please feel free to contact us. Of course, these enrollment periods do not affect Medigap or LTC applications.
